What To Bring & Wear

  • Lightweight, synthetic clothing or a swimsuit is the best.
  • Sun screen.
  • Mosquito repellent (just in case!).
  • Come prepared to get wet; bring a change of cloth and towel just in case you want to swim. Wear rubber soles hiking shoes or sneakers no flipflops; slippery and moist conditions exist on all Forest paths and trails.
  • A raincoat is appropriate specially in “El Yunque Rainforest”, one of the wettest places on Earth with an average of 200 inches of rain every year.
    Bottle water to stay hydrated (we provide water, but be sure not to leave it on the bus when you go to the hiking trail).
  • Bring a snack, hiking takes a lot of energy.

Tour is about 6 hours long.

What things should I know before booking?

This Nature Walk tour operates even if its rain, except in the case of extreme weather events or any warnings by the local weather authorities or Rainforest Park Rangers.
Come prepared with a change of cloth, chance to swim in one of the rivers, weather permitting.
Lightweight, synthetic clothing or a swimsuit is the best.
Do not walk with flop-flops for safety reasons, sneakers or hiking shoes are recommended.
Don’t bring any valuables you don’t want to get wet, lose or damage.
Anyone who is visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed to participate and will still be charged.
The Nature Walk and Hiking Tour Trips are led by Puerto Rico Access Tours Guide Service that operates under special use permit on the El Yunque National Forest and operates on a non-discriminatory basis.

What are the restrictions?

Due to the nature of this excursion, Tours4LessPR requires participants to be in good health and physical condition. Participants will be on uneven and slippery terrain and wade into moving water.
Parts of the hikes may have some inclines and require good balance.
Age requirement: 8 to 65 years old (active seniors only).
Everybody should be aware of their own limitations; PLEASE DON’T PUSH YOURSELF – SAFETY FIRST!
Gratuities are not included in the tour price but highly appreciated.
